Hello East Side Teachers and Staff,
This holiday season, the Overfelt Leadership Program is offering opportunities to give and receive joy. Its partnership with the New Hope for Youth organization is encouraging you to help bring Christmas to families in need across the East Side community. Using our online platform, you can “Adopt-a-Family,” which means you can fulfill a family’s Christmas gift wishes. Until December 18, you have the chance to drop off the gifts and bring smiles to children. If you are interested, our website has all the instructions and guidelines to “adopt”a family. Remember: To give joy is to receive joy!
In case you cannot adopt a family, you can support our 2021 seniors by sponsoring a Christmas tree! By sponsoring a tree, you will help fund scholarships for Overfelt's 2021 graduates and contribute to our “Royals Drive-Thru: Celebration of the Holidays” event. You will help bring light to the Overfelt campus by having your personally decorated tree on display for families to enjoy at the comfort of their own vehicle. At the end of the event, your tree will be donated to a deserving family in the East Side Community. Get into the spirit of Christmas by decorating your tree with friends and family, or having it decorated by the Overfelt Leadership Program! If you can't give you can still come and enjoy the event that runs from this Friday December 11- Thursday December 17 from 6-8pm.
If you aren’t able to “adopt” a family or sponsor a tree, we also accept online donations. You can help make spirits bright by donating to our GoFundMe, which will have all the proceeds donated to help purchase gifts for families to celebrate this holiday season!
